Comedy Stars Join Second City's Board To Offer Artistic Support
"We all believe that comedy is better off with a vital Second City," Stephen Colbert said.

CHICAGO — For the first time in The Second City's history, the iconic comedy theater will have the support of a star-studded Artistic Board of Directors, curated by late-night TV star Stephen Colbert.
The Second City alumni Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Tim Meadows, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Keegan-Michael Key, Jane Lynch, Catherine O'Hara, Jason Sudeikis, Robin Thede, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Peter Murrieta and Duane Colbert will join the board chaired by NBC's "The Late Show" host, Second City board member, alumnus, and one-time top T-shirt salesman.

"I'm grateful to my fellow Artistic Advisory Board members for being so generous with their time and talent. We all believe that comedy is better off with a vital Second City," Colbert said in a statement. "We want to share our experience of this tradition which helped form who we are as comedians and artists and help encourage a new generation to make that tradition their own."
