• A Chicago police officer shot and critically wounded an unarmed 13-year-old who ran from a stolen car that had been curbed by police Wednesday night. No shots were fired at police. No guns were found on the scene. (Patch)
• Could bodies recently found in receding Lake Mead in Nevada be connected to the Chicago Outfit? Shoes on one skeleton suggest the man, who had been shot, died between the mid-70s and early 80s. • One person was shot and killed, and four others were shot and wounded near Chicago and State streets in the Near North neighborhood late Thursday. No one was in custody. (NBC5)
