Errant Gunfire on Chicago Street Strikes Young Woman in the Head

• Aaren O’Connor, 25, moved to Chicago from San Diego a year and a half ago. Her worried father’s fears about the city’s reputation for violence and bloodshed came to an awful fruition on Friday when his daughter was shot in the head as they spoke on the phone. On Sunday, she died. Now those who loved her want her death to mean something.
