Body Retrieved From Chicago River Downtown
A witness called 911 after spotting something in the water of the Main Branch of the Chicago River.

CHICAGO, IL — A body was found in the Main Branch of the Chicago River downtown at around 8 a.m. on Thursday, according to police.
Chicago Fire Department and the police marine unit retrieved the body of an adult man near the 400 block of East River Drive after a witness spotted something in the water and called 911.
The identity of the victim isn't known at the time, according to police spokesperson Kellie Bartoli.
