Drunk-Driving Teacher Hits 2 Sisters Walking to School, Then Drives Away: Cops
- The girls were in the crosswalk when the car hit, sending one flying through the air. Police arrested Matthew Lucchini of Naperville. He faces a handful of misdemeanor charges. “I saw my sister laying there on the other side of the street, and I remember I tried to get up, but I couldn’t. It was just really scary ‘cause I just saw her laying there and I thought she was dead,” said one sister.
High Winds Knock Down Building in Calumet Park
- The building collapsed under the force of 50 to 60 mph winds on Friday on Ashland Avenue near 127th Street. A High Wind Warning is in effect until 6 p.m.
