CHICAGO, IL — Hours after Illinois State Police issued an endangered missing person advisory for a 2-year-old Chicago girl, Chicago police said the girl had been found.

Chicago police said Attumn Shelley was taken from the 4900 block of South Michigan Avenue just before 5 a.m. by three people who fled in a gray 2021 Nissan Kicks crossover SUV with the license plate ER12467. The Illinois State Police alert spells the child's name as Auttum Shelly, and said she is believed to have been taken by her biological mother, who does not have custody of her, and two men.

CBS Chicago reported the toddler was taken from her grandmother's apartment in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood by an "armed group" who forced their way into the building with guns. According to the child's grandmother, the group stole her purse, her keys and her Nissan before fleeing with the child.
