Experience Holiday Magic at Deer Park Town Center

DEER PARK, IL., (Nov. 15, 2024)—Deer Park Town Center announced today it is gearing up for the return of the holiday season with a spectacular line-up of free family-friendly events, kicking off with the Santa’s Arrival & Fireworks event on Saturday, Nov. 16.

“Our center is thrilled to be the go-to holiday hub where families can enjoy holiday traditions, from fun, safe events and giving back to completing their seasonal shopping,” said Angelika Fejklowicz, marketing manager at Deer Park Town Center. “We’re excited to kick off the holidays with our beloved fireworks show welcoming Santa, followed by a series of activities that will bring joy and excitement to all ages throughout the holiday season.”

Deer Park Town Center holiday event line-up includes:

• Toys for Tots - Now through Mon., Dec. 2
  • The center is accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots drive. Donations for kids of all ages are welcomed and must be dropped off at the Center Office in suite 133 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

• Santa’s Arrival & Fireworks - Sat., Nov. 16 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (Sponsored by The Village of Deer Park)
  • Kick off the holiday season with Santa as he turns on the holiday lights!
  • The event will feature a fireworks show beginning at 6:30 p.m. near the traffic circle with a finale honoring veterans, a special performance by Those Funny Little People, Glow Zone Mobile Carts, menu items from local food trucks My Funnel Truck and Kissed by Fire BBQ and free photos with Santa on a first come, first serve basis, and a free pouch of magical reindeer food for kids who visit Santa, while supplies last.

• Black Friday - Fri., Nov. 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Sponsored by Village of Deer Park)
  • Shop the biggest Black Friday savings at your favorite stores!
  • Guests will receive one free order of mini donuts from My Mama’s Mini Donuts starting at 10:00 a.m., one order per person, while supplies last. The food truck will be stocked with hot & fresh mini donuts, coffee, hot chocolate and cider available for purchase. Located near Banana Republic.
  • Enjoy the sights and sounds of the strolling Merry Maskers Carolers performing a variety of holiday classics in beautiful "Dickens" style costumes from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. throughout the shopping center.
  • On Saturday, November 30 a brass band performance by Celebration Brass in the court near Banana Republic will begin at 12:00 p.m.

• Stuff a Squad Car - Sat., Dec. 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Deer Park Town Center and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office will team up to host a public drop off “Stuff A Squad” event to collect donations for Toys for Tots.
• The Lake County Sheriff’s squad car will be located near Athleta and Noodles & Company where guests can drop off new and unwrapped toys and place their donations into the squad car.

• Story Time with Mrs. Claus - Sundays, December 1, 8 & 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Bring the little ones for a special story time with Mrs.Claus inside Barnes & Noble. Join as she reads stories and spreads holiday cheer.

• Holiday Choir Performances - Select dates in December
• Enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season with special performances by local school choirs. See them strolling around Deer Park Town Center performing a variety of holiday classics on select weekends in December. Visit the website for schedule and details.
