2. Two Detroit men were arrested for fentanyl possession Tuesday at Midway International Airport. Federal agents detected more than 40 pounds of fentanyl in their luggage. (Patch)

3. Rideshare drivers protested Thursday outside Chicago’s Uber Hub, as reports of vehicular carjackings continue across the city. Drivers are seeking “better pay, job security and safety.” Six Uber drivers were targeted during recent armed robberies, according to police. (WGN)

4. White Sox closer Liam Hendriks is set to begin a rehab assignment today after announcing his non-Hodgkins lymphoma is in remission. At a news conference Wednesday Hendriks thanked his doctors, wife Kristi and people who wrote messages of support during treatment. “You don’t realize how many people have been affected by cancer until it affects you, and it’s something that hit me pretty hard… the amount of people that have recovered, or had someone recover, or lost someone.” (CWS)

5. Mexico Fest will be held at Navy Pier this weekend in honor of Cinco de Mayo. More than 30 artisan vendors will be featured at the free family event, which runs through Sunday. (Navy Pier)
