- The White Sox beat the Cubs in 12 innings on a walk-off home run to clinch the crosstown season series 3-1. But there was little reason to celebrate. Tim Anderson left the game with a groin injury. (SBNation)
- The body of missing University of Illinois-Chicago student Daniel Sotelo was pulled from Lake Michigan about a mile offshore, authorities said. Sotelo and his girlfriend, UIC student Natally Brookson, went missing in April. Her body was found in the lake earlier this month. (Patch)
