See the First Mass-Produced Wheelchair Accessible SUV

A first look at the Chicago Auto Show: From Ford's wheelchair-accessible SUV to the new hybrid plug-ins to the 2017 Chevy Camaro 1LE.

CHICAGO, IL – As America’s biggest auto show revved up on Thursday for local news media, gas prices reached $1.70 a gallon — a February low not seen in a dozen years. What took center stage on the first day of the media preview for the Chicago Auto Show? SUVs and pickup trucks, of course.

The Cars.com news team was on the exhibit floor — the one-million-square-foot exhibit floor — getting an up-close-and-personal look at the 2017 models.

Want to see something special? Take a look at the world’s first mass-produced wheelchair-accessible SUV brought to market by Ford and BraunAbility. The BraunAbility MXV will be sold at more than 200 dealers in the United States.

The Chicago Auto Show opens to the general public on Saturday, Feb. 13, and runs through Feb. 21 at McCormick Place. Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for children and seniors. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday through Feb. 20, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 21.
