Get Free Dessert For Father's Day At Portillo's

Father's Day is around the corner, and time is running out to get Dad a gift on his special day. Thankfully for procrastinators, Portillo's has an offer that will make even the most inconsiderate son or daughter look thoughtful and caring.

For Father's Day on Sunday, June 17, the Oak Brook-based restaurant chain will let customers choose a free dessert to go with any entrée they buy. That means you can take out Dad for a hot dog dinner and top it off with one of the following sweet treats on the house:

• chocolate cake
• lemon cake
• éclair cake
• strawberry shortcake
• custard
• a shake or smoothie

Portillo's also is giving a $5 discount on shipping for online orders for Father's Day. Customers need to use the promo code "DAD18" when they order.

The free dessert deal, which is only available Sunday, continues Portillo's Spring and Summer of Sweetness — that's not the official name, but we're hoping it will catch on. In April, the chain celebrated its 55th birthday by selling slices of chocolate cake for 55 cents. That same month, Portillo's also brought back its popular lemon cake for a limited time.
