It's a great day on the South Side. The White Sox start their quest for a World Series title in Houston against the Astros. Let's Go Go-Go White Sox! Pitchers Lance Lynn and Lucas Giolito are slated to start the first two games of the American League Division Series. And I'm choosing to ignore reports that Jose Abreu is questionable for tonight's game due to a flu-ike illness.
Patch's Jeff Arnold has the skinny on Sox play-by-play man Jason Benetti's thoughts on watching the game as fan (while calling the Bulls game), and what he expects when fans return to Sox Park for the first playoff game in 13 years.
“I think it’s going to be a madhouse,” Benetti said. “I think it’s going to be like the old Chicago Stadium transplanted into a baseball stadium. I just think it’s going to be nuts."

- Speaking of playoff baseball's return to 35th and Shields, White Sox marketing boss Brooks Boyer wants fans to arrive to Sunday's game early and wear all black for the entire playoff run. Patch's Eric DeGrechie has the details: Back In Black: White Sox Ready For Return Of Fans In Playoffs.

- David Arquette is bringing back Bozo. The actor purchased the character rights for Bozo the Clown. He plans to create a circus interactive experience that will include Bozo. “Empire Circus” will debut in Brooklyn in November. (WGN)
- A construction crane fell on a car near the Bryn Mawr Red Line station in Edgewater. No one was hurt, but a building struck by the rig was evacuated. (Patch)
