Illinois Weekend Events: Oktoberfest, Charcuterie Class, Jazz
Looking for things to do in the Chicago area this weekend? Patch has you covered.

CHICAGO, IL— If you do one thing this weekend, let it be the dedication of the Gold Star Families Memorial in Naperville. The new monument honors the families of the approximately 127 Naperville military members who have lost their lives in war and will include performances by the Naperville Men's Glee Club and Naperville Municipal Band.
The dedication is part of an entire day recognizing the Naperville home front, which is put on by Naperville's Century Walk Foundation and the Woody Williams Medal of Honor Foundation. Before the 1:45 dedication on Sunday, a reenactment Rockford Peaches baseball game and a Rosie the Riveter costume contest will take place at noon.
If you're looking for more events to round out your own home front this weekend, look no further.
