Las Vegas Mass Shooting: How To Find Out If Loved Ones Are Safe
Police have set up a special phone number to call, and Facebook has created a crisis response page.

As the death toll climbs in Las Vegas, people around the country are trying to determine if their loved ones are among those hurt or slain in what has become the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. At least 50 people were killed and more than 400 injured when Stephen Paddock, 64, opened fire Sunday night from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino into the crowd attending a country music festival. Paddock killed himself before police were able to apprehend him.
The Las Vegas Police Department has set up a special number for families looking to locate missing loved ones. People can call 866-535-5654 to find out information about individuals who might have been at the scene of the shooting.
A crisis response Facebook page also has been set up for the shooting. The page collects updates about the shooting, and it allows individuals at the scene to check in with family and friends.
