CHICAGO — Chicago's do-not-rehire list might get a little longer .

On Thursday, I pointed out a minor injustice: Ex-con former Alds. Isaac Carothers (29th) and Arenda Troutman (20th) were the only felonious elected officials banned from getting back on the payroll when others — including former City Clerk James Laski and former City Treasurer Miriam Santos, and former ward bosses Percy Giles (37th), Ed "Fast Eddie" Vyrdolyak (10th), William "The Hog with the Big Nuts" Beavers (7th), Sandi Jackson (7th), Willie Cochran (20th) and Lawrence Bloom (5th), who each went to jail for one thing or another — didn't make the list.

On Friday, Mayor Lori Lightfoot's human resources department reached out to say they plan to review the circumstances that got former elected officials either kicked out of office or sent to prison and consider making adjustments to the hiring black list accordingly.
