  • Bad news, Bulls fans. Star guard Lonzo Ball will be sidelined by knee surgery for at least six weeks. Ball, who is averaging 13 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists, hasn't played since last week. (Patch)
  • While a woman delivered newspapers on the Northside early Thursday, someone stole her car with two children inside. Minutes later, the car thief crashed and fled on foot. (Fox32)
  • Caleb Westbrooks, 15, was shot and killed on the way home from school. Four other teenagers were shot on the same day. "How did our city get here?" the late boy's father wrote in a scathing open letter to public officials." (WGN)
  • Bob Saget's widow, Chicago-native Kelly Rizzo, opened up about her late husband's last days on "Good Morning America." In their last phone call, Saget "was telling me what a wonderful show he had and how it was so amazing. ... He was happy and loving what he did. It made him so happy," Rizzo said. (ABC7)
  • Cook County judge William Raines has been sidelined from the bench pending an investigation into the disparaging comments he made about a female attorney that were broadcast on a livestream video. (WGN)
