Man In Car With Toddler Had A Gun: Police

Chicago police have arrested a man who they believe fired shots from the car where 1-year-old Kayden Swann was a passenger.

CHICAGO— A man who participated in a shooting on Lake Shore Drive that left a toddler in critical condition has been arrested, Chicago police said. Jushawn Brown is charged with one felony count of unlawful use of a weapon after police say he brandished a gun from the car where 1-year-old Kayden Swann was a passenger.

Brown, the boyfriend of Kayden's grandmother, is due in bond court on Thursday, and police say he fired at another vehicle. Police have not arrested the person who fired the shot that struck Kayden in the right temple.

A police spokesperson said during a briefing on Tuesday afternoon that the shooting was a result of a "road-rage incident" and that a weapon was recovered from the car the young boy was in. The other vehicle involved sped off after the crash.
