Man Dead After Getting Pinned Between Red Line Train And Platform

Detectives are conducting a death investigation after the incident occurred at the 87th Street station.

CHICAGO — A man found pinned between a CTA Red Line train and the platform died Monday morning, according to police.

The incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. at the 87th Street station in Chatham, Chicago police said. The man was around 25 to 30 years old and was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Southbound Red Line service was suspended after 69th Street and northbound trains did not stop at the 87th Street station Monday morning.
