CHICAGO — McDonald’s is giving adults who want the chance to re-live a portion of their fast-food eating childhood the opportunity to do so with a line of grown-up Happy Meals that come with a surprise inside.

McDonald’s on Tuesday unveiled the Cactus Plant Flea Market Box, which is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the fast-food giant and a popular culture brand. The adult Happy Meal boxes may look familiar and feature the familiar golden arches with branding from Cactus Plant Flea Market, McDonald’s announced on Tuesday.

The boxes will be offered on a limited basis and will begin being distributed in restaurants and through McDonald’s drive-thru windows beginning on Sunday. The meals feature McDonald’s favorites such as Big Macs or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal that includes fries and drink.

But where the childhood throwback comes is in what’s included with the food itself. Cactus Flea Market has produced collectible figurines that feature popular McDonald’s characters such as Grimace, the Hamburglar and Birdie.

"We're taking one of the most nostalgic McDonald's experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way that's hyper-relevant for our adult fans," Tariq Hassan, McDonald's USA chief marketing and customer experience officer, said in a news release. "I can't wait to give fans a unique piece of art and culture as we dive headfirst into the dynamic world of Cactus Plant Flea Market together next week."
