Mid-May Feels Like Early April

The weather of late has been perfect. For a duck. We've had rain almost every day, but this weekend will clear up for a few days across northern Illinois. The temps will be cool, however, more like early April than mid-May, according to the National Weather Service.

For the rest of Friday, mostly sunny through the afternoon with increasing clouds and scattered showers possible later. Tonight, widespread showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms and more showers after midnight.

• Saturday: Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 50s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Partly cloudy in the evening then clearing. Lows in the upper 30s. West winds 10 to 15 mph.
• Sunday: Mostly sunny in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. Highs in the mid 50s. West winds 10 to 15 mph. Mostly clear in the evening. Lows in the lower 40s.
• Monday: Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. By evening, a 40 percent chance of showers. Lows in the mid 40s.
