Missing 13-Year-Old May Require Medical Attention

CHICAGO— Dezire Kirkland, 13, was reported missing on Tuesday from her West Side home, according to police. Officials say the young girl may be in need of medical attention and is possibly a danger to herself.

Dezire is Black with a medium complexion. She has long, black hair and brown eyes. The 13-year-old is about 5 feet 3 inches tall and has a larger build.

She was last heard from at around midnight on Tuesday, investigators said. Anyone with information regarding Dezire's whereabouts can contact 911 or Area Four Special Victims Unit at (312) 746-8251.
