Body Pulled From Lake ID'ed As Missing UIC Student: Police
The body of Daniel Sotelo was found May 22, more than a week after girlfriend Natally Brookson was found dead. The two disappeared April 30.

WILMETTE, IL — The body of a man pulled from Lake Michigan by the Wilmette Fire Department on May 22 has been identified as missing University of Illinois-Chicago student Daniel Sotelo, Wilmette police confirmed Sunday.
Sotelo, 26, and his girlfriend and fellow UIC student Natally Brookson, 22, disappeared April 30. Brookson's body was pulled from Lake Michigan earlier this month. Sotelo's body was later found around a mile off the Wilmette coastline.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Sotelo's identity through dental records. Sotelo's cause of death has not been confirmed, and Cook County authorities are awaiting toxicology results.

Sotelo was last seen on a train at the CTA station at Roosevelt Road and State Street.
