More States Dropped From Chicago Coronavirus Travel Advisory List

CHICAGO — With coronavirus cases declining nationwide, Chicago's top doctor dropped four more states — Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland and Mississippi — from the city's travel advisory list.
Dr. Allison Arwady said she expects as many as seven other states and the U.S. Virgin Islands could be removed from the list next month.
"What we're seeing here is that overall the country is definitely improving," she said during a Tuesday news conference.

Unvaccinated travelers should be tested for COVID-19 before and after travel to states and territories where COVID metrics rise above the threshold of 15 cases per day per 100,000 people. The travel advisory also states unvaccinated travelers should quarantine upon arrival in Chicago.
The travel advisory recommendations apply to folks traveling to and from Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Guam and the Virgin Islands.
