Lucille Lee, age 89, of Chicago, Illinois passed from this life Monday morning, February 3, 2025 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.

Lucille was born November 20, 1935 to the late Henrietta and LeRoy Meredith in Kosciusko, Mississippi where she was raised and educated in her hometown.
She is the beloved mother of Michael ( late Diane) Lee, Steve (Desiree) Lee, Darlin (Lenworth) Taylor and Vincent (Karen) Lee; loving grandmother of Marshon (Whitney) Hooker, LaSandra Lee, Mari Lee, Adetutu (Ola) Falade-Gidado, the late Marcus Lee, Lola (Wilvis) Harris, Bolanle (Jason) Falade-Beard, Michael Hopkins, Armani V. Lee, the late Kari M. Lee, Kamryn Lee; Whitney (Secret) Shack, Lamar (Kyla) Lee and Chloe Lee. Lucille, also a devoted great-grandmother will too be missed by several generations of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

In addition to her grandchildren Marcus, Kari, and daughter-in-law Diane she is also preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Lee, her parents and her siblings, Ella Mae Harper, George Meredith, Willie James Meredith, Martha Mae Meredith and Doris Meredith.
Lucille, an entrepreneur, was proficient in real estate management. Other interests included gardening, baking and lively conversations surrounding politics. She could debate with the best of them. One of a kind, Lucille will surely be missed by all who knew her. Her spirit will live on within the hearts and minds of her loved ones.
Visitation for Lucille Lee will be Saturday February 15, 2025 from 10 a.m. until her services begin at 12 Noon at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet, IL.
Interment will be held on February 17, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park, IL.
