- Hip-hop star turned convicted felon, R. Kelly, ditched his legal team and hired Bill Cosby's attorney, New York civil rights lawyer Jennifer Bonjean, to represent him in criminal cases he faces in Illinois and New York. (Patch)
- The feds charged two more people with being involved in a kickback scheme involving fraudulent overtime pay and office supply purchases at Brennemann School in Buena Park. Prosecutors say the scammers pilfered $250,000. (Patch)
