LOCAL WEATHER — The weekend weather forecast calls for some rain, with temperatures in the 50s, maybe even near 60 on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. This past week's weather report foretold of rain, but we mostly missed out. Let's hope the prognosticators are off base or the clouds shift elsewhere (Indiana deserves rain) and we get to spend our weekend firing up the grill.
- Today: Sunny, with a high near 50. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 41. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.
- Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 54. Light east southeast wind becoming east northeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Saturday Night: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 49. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
- Sunday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 60. South southeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Sunday Night: Showers likely, mainly before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 52. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
- Monday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62.
