Missing In Chicago: Glenview Native Last Seen At Downtown Bar
Inaki Bascaran, 23, was last seen Saturday night at a bar with 3 friends, according to family, and told a roommate he was walking home.

CHICAGO — A 23-year-old native of Glenview was reported missing Monday. Inaki Bascaran was last seen Saturday night at a downtown Chicago bar with three friends, according to family. His last contact was with a roommate, whom he told he was walking home.
A large group in front of the popular River North night club Celeste wasn't there to wait in line for the 111 North Hubbard Street bar but to begin a Monday night search for Inaki Bascaran, who was last seen clubbing with friends downtown.
Bascaran is described as 5 feet, 9 inches, has light-brown hair and green eyes with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing blue pants, a gray long-sleeve shirt and possibly a brown or beige jacket.

A search has been ongoing since early Sunday morning, according to Inaki's father, Jose Bascaran, when Inaki was asked to leave a River North bar because he may have been too intoxicated.
The last person to hear from Inaki Bascaran, a 2016 Glenbrook South graduate, was a roommate, according to Jose Bascaran. The roommate said Inaki told him he was going to walk back to their Lakeview apartment after trying and failing to get back into the bar. He was near a Walgreens during the 11:30 p.m. video call and has not been seen since.

Chicago police issued a missing persons' bulletin on Monday that said the man's last location was in the 800 block of West Newport Avenue. According to his father, his son was last seen at a crowded bar downtown with three of his friends.
Jose Bascaran told reporters he has posted flyers, searched River North alleys and streets, and even checked hospitals and credit card statements. None have shown any useful information or suspicious activity, according to Jose.
The Monday evening search group planned to focus on the area of Lower Wacker Drive, Bascaran said.
"He's a really good kid. This is not something that he would do," Jose Bascaran told reporters before the search began Monday. "There's a reason he's not getting in contact with us."
Bascaran said his son, a graduate of the University of Illinois, has never disappeared before.
Anyone with information on his disappearance is encouraged to call Chicago police at 312-744-8266, and Jose Bascaran says that a website has been set up for those who have tips or information about his whereabouts.
