Showers and Storms as We Go Back to Work

Still warm, but a stormy forecast for Wednesday in particular.

We have a short work week ahead of us (for many, that probably means cramming five days of work into four days). We will continue to see warm temps but also stormy skies. On Tuesday, isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will sweep into the metro area

The National Weather Service says areas west of I-55 and and northwest Illinois will be focal points. Wednesday, the entire Chicago area will get hit, according to the forecast, and the storms could be severe. Thursday and Friday will be clear.
