  • "Shoot that b---- in the back of his s---. Pow pow!" That's how a member of the Wicked Town faction of Traveling Vice Lords allegedly described the murder of a rival on a jailhouse wiretap cited in a federal indictment of 13 members of the Austin neighborhood street gang.(FOX32)
  • A Cook County judge on Monday ruled that City Hall can continue to place police officers on "no-pay status" for failing to report whether they have been vaccinated against COVID-19. But judge Raymond also issued a temporary restraining order that presses pause on the Dec. 31 vaccine mandate deadline pending arbitration. (Patch)
  • NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman on Monday publicly blasted Blackhawks' leadership for mishandling sexual abuse allegations brought by former Hawks prospect Kyle Beach in 2010. "This has to serve as a wake-up call for all clubs: You to make sure you understand what's going on in your organization, because you're going to be held responsible," Bettman said.(Patch)
  • "Fast Eddie" is headed to the slammer. A federal judge ordered former Chicago Ald. Edward Vyrdolyak to report to prison on Nov. 30 to begin serving an 18-month sentence on federal tax evasion charges. (CBS2)
