Springlike Temps To Give Way To Rain, Winter Weather In Illinois
Expect a "push-pull between winter & spring," this week in Illinois, with a steep temp drop, rain and possibly snow.

ILLINOIS — With high temperatures in the low 50s possible Monday, the National Weather Service was warning Illinois residents to brace themselves for a "push-pull between winter & spring" this week as springlike temperatures giving way to frigid weather, plus rain and snow.
A dense fog advisory remained in place for much of Will and Cook counties until 2 p.m. Monday.
The warmer weather on Monday was expected to change to drizzle Monday night, with thunderstorms possible after midnight and a 100 percent chance of precipitation. Some areas could get up to half an inch of rain, the National Weather Service said.

On Tuesday, storms and showers are possible before noon, along with areas of fog. By 5 p.m., temperatures will dip into the 30s, and more rain is expected Tuesday night.
A flash advisory was in effect for Will, Grundy and Kankakee counties until 6 a.m. Feb. 26.

Wednesday, temperatures will drop even more, with a high near 25.
Thursday brings highs in the 20s and a significant chance of snow after noon.
