A crime alert sent out by Northwestern following the robbery said five suspects were involved in the incident. Chicago police then released a surveillance photo of four suspects — three males and a female — in the robbery.

Nearly 30 minutes later, Duniver allegedly committed the second robbery, this time at around 8:30 p.m. in the 800 block of North Dearborn Street, police said. Similar to the first incident, Duniver allegedly approached his victim — a 25-year-old man — and began beating him until he gave up his cellphone password, according to police.

Duniver then allegedly fled the scene with the victim's cellphone and credit cards, police said. The teenage girl was not reported to be involved with this robbery.

Prosecutors at Saturday's bail hearing said Duniver was arrested after his mother saw his photo on TV and turned him in to police, the Chicago Tribune reports. He also was identified by the victims in both robberies, according to police, who arrested Duniver at around 4:06 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14.

The girl was arrested following her identification by the victim in the first robbery, police said.
