Threat In Bathroom During Flight From O'Hare To DC Forces Plane To Turn Around
Law enforcement met the returning plane and conducted a security sweep, according to United.
CHICAGO — A United flight from O'Hare to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport returned Monday morning to Chicago after a threat was found written on a bathroom mirror aboard the aircraft, according to the airline.
The threat was determined not to be credible, United said. Flight 265 was scheduled to depart at 6:30 a.m. and was carrying 131 passengers and five crew members on an Airbus A320.
Law enforcement met the returning plane and conducted a security sweep, according to United. The airline was arranging to provide a different aircraft for the affected travelers.
