Trump's Personal Lawyer Owns Nearly 2 Dozen Chicago Cabs: Report

Michael Cohen owns 22 taxis in the city through 5 companies based in Illinois, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

CHICAGO, IL — President Donald Trump's personal lawyer who was responsible for making hush payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels is responsible for nearly two dozen taxicabs in Chicago that he owns through five Illinois companies, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Michael Cohen, whose offices were raided by the FBI earlier this week following his admission that he spent $130,000 of his own money to pay Daniels, owes more than $50,000 in taxes on the 32 cabs he has in New York City, the report added.

According to city records, some of Cohen's Chicago cabs face city ordinance violations, the report stated. But the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection, which oversees city cabs, would not disclose details about the violations without a formal request, the report added.

Cohen's cabs are owned through the following companies:

Ten cabs are owned by Love Bug and Rush Hour, and they are run through Flash Cab, the report stated. City records show the remaining 12 taxis are run by Dispatch Taxi, but a company employee told the Sun-Times that violations might have taken those cabs off the streets, the report added.

In the past, Cohen had been business partners with Symon Garber, who runs most of the cabs in the city through Chicago Carriage Cab and Royal 3 CCC Taxi but wasn't connected with Cohen's cabs, the report stated. Garber also runs taxis in New York City and operated some of Cohen's cabs there at one time, the report added.
