Unidentified Woman Wanted In CTA Bus Stabbing: Cops

Chicago police released photos of the suspect in the Easter Sunday attack and want help identifying her.

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago police released photos Wednesday of a woman suspected of stabbing a CTA bus passenger in the back of the head Easter Sunday. Investigators hope the images, as well as a description of the woman, lead to information that will help identify the suspect, who is wanted by police for aggravated battery stemming from the incident.

According to police, the stabbing happened around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, April 1, while the 30-year-old victim was riding on a bus in the 600 block of Michigan Avenue. Images from a CTA security camera show the suspect with an unidentified object in her hand as it makes contact with the back of the head of woman sitting in front of her.

The victim only suffered a minor cut from the stabbing, and she refused medical treatment. The two women didn't speak to one another before the attack, and the suspect got off the bus and fled south on Michigan Avenue following the incident.
