Visits With Santa Reservation Only At Macy's On State Street
A spokesperson for the department store said reservations can be made online for Nov. 6 through Dec. 24 visits, which will be contactless.
CHICAGO — Want to see Santa? You'll need a reservation.
This holiday season, visits with Santa Claus at Macy's storefront on State Street will require reserving a block of time for a contactless, distanced event, according to a representative from the department store.
Reservations will be open up to five days in advance at macys.com/Santaland. Slots for the following five days will appear each morning at 5:30 a.m. CST .

"Safeguarding the health of guests, Santa and his elves is Macy's top priority," Macy's said in a written statement, "and as such visits will be contactless and be conducted from a socially distanced experience as kids share their Christmas wish lists with the jolly man in red."
Reservations can be made for Nov. 6 through Dec. 24. There will also be a virtual option this year, the statement said, that becomes available Nov. 26.

Macy's famous Walnut Room is still taking in-person reservations for its annual holiday experience which also begins Nov. 6.
The Walnut Room is open Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
