Volunteers Hand Out Flyers Hoping for Information on Murder of Aaren O'Connor
A reward is also being offered.
More than a week after a stray bullet killed a 25-year-old woman in Chicago, volunteers braved the cold to try to help find the killer. They distributed more than 2,000 flyers to the West Side neighborhood where she died.
Police say Friday night, Feb. 5, Aaren O’Connor was parked in her car off West 21st Street near Hoyne Avenue when a bullet hit her in the head as she spoke on the phone with her family. She became incoherent and the call disconnected. Her roommate found her in her car. She died on Sunday.
A $1,000 reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest.
