Warmth, Sun, Chills, Rain, Maybe Snow in Week's Forecast

Here's a look at the first week of spring in local weather.

We could see a little bit of everything this week — the first week of spring — with nice, warm temperatures on Tuesday followed by rain on Wednesday and maybe even some snow on Thursday, along with cooler temps.

"For Wednesday, a frontal boundary over the region will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms and a wide range in temperatures across the area," advises the National Weather Service. "Expect low to mid 40s north of the front near the Wisconsin state line, and low 60s are possible south of the front across portions of central/east central Illinois.

"Similar temperature spread for Thursday with the upper 30s north to the lower 50s south. As colder air filters into the area Thursday night there is a chance of light rain and light snow."
