Cool Temps Ahead, and Spots of Rain: Chicagoland WeatherWrap

A storm is skating by the north suburbs tonight. This week, spots of rain here and there, but cool temps and generally sunny days.

There's a slight chance of thunderstorms this evening, and a chance we'll see some showers Monday afternoon, too. For the most part, we can expect a sunny and relatively cool week ahead, according to the National Weather Service, with a few spots of rain.

A 7:52 p.m., Doppler Radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 15 miles west of Kenosha, to Kenosha WI, and moving southeast at 40 mph. Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these storms, mainly in far northeast Lake County, reports the National Weather Service this evening. The storms could hit Chicago by 9 p.m.
