CHICAGO, IL (Dec. 4, 2020) — From streaming services to prime time TV, there is plenty of new content to watch this weekend as Illinoisans are encouraged to stay home to help slow the spread of coronavirus. From a timely docu-series about science saving lives to a delightful Disney comedy, new streaming options abound.

"Ending Disease"
Filmmaker Joe Gantz sheds light on the importance of life-saving stem cell treatments and therapies by following 10 unique patients whose lives have been saved, altered or impacted by stem cell research. Gantz expertly balances the importance of science with the emotions and humanity of family members facing life-threatening illnesses in a way that few other narratives or documentaries have. The 42-minute episodes are a much-needed reminder that every statistic has family and friends - every person who faces life-changing disease is impacted in immeasurable ways. This four-part series does justice to the pain of the experience - but also hope provided by the incredible scientific advancement. It’s also a sobering and saddening wake-up call that among its many other devastating effects, the COVID-19 pandemic is delaying important life-saving clinical trials. Now playing in select virtual cinemas.

"Getting to Know You"
Natasha Little and Rupert Penry-Jones play patrons of a small-town hotel in this romantic comedy. In town for very different reasons, Luke asks Abby to pose as his wife in order to dodge the advances of an old flame. The old-school romantic comedy format is elevated by its actors and dialogue, which often feels more like a stage play than a traditional feature film. Now on VOD and Digital platforms including iTunes, Amazon, Apple TV, Google Play, Fandango Now and all major cable/satellite platforms.
