Talk of Brothels, Drug Running, Romantic Movies, Killing as Wife-Killing Cop Faces Snitch Cellmate in Murder-for-Hire Trial

Drew Peterson guilty of plotting Will County State's Attorney Jim Glasgow's murder: Full Trial Coverage.

Drew Peterson, the convicted wife killer and ex-Bolingbrook cop suspected of murder in the disappearance of Stacy Cales Peterson, was found guilty Tuesday, May 31, of trying to arrange the murder of Will County State's Attorney Jim Glasgow, the man who put him away for drowning his third ex-wife, Kathleen Savio, in a bathtub.

The case hinged on testimony and wire recordings of a prison informant, Antonio "Beast" Smith, Peterson's cellmate and protector. The recordings showed Peterson obsessing over Glasgow, fantasizing about winning his appeal and becoming a drug runner, recounting tales of hooker parties and invitations to work in a brothel, and sharing thoughts on his favorite romantic comedy films.

After a weeklong trial, the jury needed less than an hour to reach its decision. When the verdict was read, Peterson offered no expression: 2-Time Loser: Drew Peterson Guilty Again
