Willie Wilson Gives $1 Million To Folks Unemployed By Coronavirus
Humanitarian former mayoral contender Willie Wilson will donated $1 million to help people who lost their jobs due to the new coronavirus.

CHICAGO — Willie Wilson, a philanthropist and two-time mayoral candidate, will donate $1 million to help people who have lost their jobs due to the new coronavirus.
“Folks are anxious. Folks are afraid, and their future is uncertain. We’re all in this together. So, we must pull together. [In] just a small way I can help bridge the gap until the government steps up and does what’s right, quickly, for those in need. I am blessed to be able to do it,” Wilson said in a statement.
Wilson, a self-made millionaire, said he’ll distribute payments “using the honor system.” Senior citizens and people who are either unemployed due to the pandemic or homeless can apply to receive support at drwilliewilsonfoundation.org.
