1. Chicago police are searching for two missing young women, according to WGN. Nyaomi Woods, 15, has been missing from Logan Square since May 5. Tiana ‘Nana’ Pillow, 23, was last seen Monday near 78th Street and Phillips Avenue. (WGN)
2. Late Chicago Police Officer Areanah Preston’s mother Dionnne Mhoon said Wednesday she “felt sorry” for the suspects arrested in her daughter’s homicide case, NBC Chicago reports. “Nobody poured into them,” Mhoon told reporters outside the courtroom where four teens were denied bail in the case. “Nobody told them that they were loved. Nobody told them that they could do anything, like I constantly preached to my daughter.” (NBC)
3. Mayor-Elect Brandon Johnson will be sworn in Monday at Credit Union 1 Arena, with a reception to follow at City Hall. Tickets to the ceremony are free and available to the public. (NBC)
4. Rideshare app Lyft is rolling out a new “pre-order” feature at O’Hare International Airport this week. Users can now request a ride as soon as they land to eliminate wait times after deplaning. (WGN)
