CHICAGO — A woman who Chicago police say allegedly attacked up to nine other women with a baseball bat on Chicago’s Northwest Side has been taken into custody and is facing criminal charges, police said.

Police said the woman, who has not yet been charged, was involved in six separate incidents on Sunday and Tuesday — attacks that police said took place during the daytime hours in the Albany Park, Ravenswood and Irving Park neighborhoods.

In each of the cases, the woman has been seen getting out of a white sedan and attacking random victims, all of whom are women, police said.

One of the attacks, which was caught on cell phone video, shows the woman attacking a woman who was walking a child in a stroller.

Police said that they believe the same woman is responsible for each of the attacks. Police said most of the victims declined medical attention, but one victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment on Tuesday.
