1. The Tribune reports four people have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 24-year-old Chicago police officer who was killed outside her home Saturday in Avalon Park. A vigil will be held tonight for Officer Areanah Preston, who served the department for three years and held a master's degree from Loyola University. (Paid source: Tribune)
2. A woman is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after falling from an overpass onto I-90, Patch reports. Police responded to reports of a woman threatening to jump along with her child Monday afternoon. Both were found hurt on the Dan Ryan Expressway. The child is expected to recover. (Patch)
3. Police are investigating after a woman’s body was pulled from Lake Michigan Sunday night. It was reported in the 4100 block of South Oakenwald Avenue. (NBC)
4. Eight cases of monkeypox have been identified at Howard Brown Health in the past three weeks, according to Block Club Chicago. Only one case had been reported in the first three months of the year. (Block Club)
5. Mayor Lori Lightfoot gave her farewell address Monday after four years in office. Mayor-Elect Brandon Johnson will be sworn in May 15. (NBC)
