DeLuca's Senior Advisory Committee Hosts Medicare Seminar and Luncheon

State Rep. Anthony DeLuca (D-Chicago Heights) is congratulating his senior advisory committee, with special thanks to Senior Advisory Chairperson Sheryl Ford on a successful Seminar and Luncheon that was held on Thursday at Village Woods in Crete.

“As our population grows older, it is a priority of mine to make sure that seniors have access to the services they need,” DeLuca said.  “There are many programs and services available to seniors and it is important that they are provided with this information so they can take full advantage of them.”

DeLuca established the Senior Advisory Committee as a means to encourage the public input to develop his positions on key legislation in the General Assembly. Members of the committee participate in various meetings, receive periodic legislative updates and have a direct line of communication with their State Rep. This year, the Senior Advisory Committee hosted a luncheon to provide seniors with information on various topics such as Medicare, Circuit Breaker, Senior Health Insurance Program, among others. The luncheon provided another way for DeLuca to remain accessible to his constituents.

“Hosting events such as a senior luncheon give me the chance to talk with constituents and hear their perspectives on state issues,” DeLuca said.  “Anyone who was unable to attend the luncheon and has a question or concern dealing with services available for seniors can call my district office.”
