
For the convenience of our residents, the City Clerk's Office will be open this Saturday, July 23rd and next Saturday, July 30th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon for the purchase of Vehicle Stickers Only. The Clerk's Office is located at 1601 Chicago Road, First Floor.
Clerk Wilcox and staff are encouraging residents to purchase their vehicle stickers early to avoid the inconvenience of long lines or face late penalties.

Vehicle stickers can be purchased from the Clerk's Office for the regular fee by cash, money order, Visa, MasterCard or personal check with valid photo identification.
The 2011-2012 City Vehicle Sticker Fees are as follows:
Passenger - $30.00
Seniors (Age 65 and Older) - $5.00; limit two (2) per household with valid vehicle registration and proof of age
U.S. Military Veterans - $5.00; limit one (1) per household with valid military ID or DD214 papers
Class B Trucks - $30.00
Class D Trucks - $46.00
Antique - $10.00
Motorcycles - $15.00
Further still, you can purchase your City Stickers at the following three Currency Exchange locations (please note that additional service fees will apply):
1. Chicago Heights Currency Exchange, 82 Illinois Street, 754-3645.
2. Lincolnway Wilson Plaza Currency Exchange, 403 Lincoln Highway, 755-3730.
3. Olympia Plaza Currency Exchange, 157 West Joe Orr Road, 755-7922 (closed on Sunday's).
Please remember that buying the sticker is just one part of the process. All vehicle stickers must be applied to the inside of your windshield in the lower right-hand corner. Failure to do so may result in a ticket for non-display.
Per City Ordinance, a vehicle sticker shall be obtained a) within thirty [30] days of the purchase of a motor vehicle (new or used), or b) within thirty (30) days after the time the owner of a motor vehicle becomes a resident of the City (closing contract or rental agreement must be provided to establish timeline), whichever is applicable.
Once again, for your convenience, the deadline to purchase AND display your 2011-2012 City Vehicle Stickers has been extended to July 31st.
Penalties will be applied on Monday, August 1st, 2011. NO EXCEPTIONS!
