CHPD gives back this holiday season!

CHPD gives back this holiday season!

The Chicago Heights Park District partners with Joliet / South Suburban Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (JASSAC) to support families this holiday season through a Social Action in addressing disparities in underserved communities.

On Wednesday, December 17th, toys and bikes were donated to children at Olympic Village Apartments, in Chicago Heights, helping bring joy and relief to families in need.

Park District Board President Jessica Mangiaracina states that this partnership “allows us create a stronger, more connected community by spreading kindness and support.” Ward 1 Commissioner Harold Foston, who also distributed food baskets through Bloom Food Pantry, added that “our duty to serve the community is year round, but especially this time of year, giving more is most important. We are in this together.”
