Early Voting And Ballot Drop-Off Locations In Chicago Heights

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — With the election only weeks away, the City of Chicago Heights has shared a list of locations scattered around suburban Cook County for residents to consider when early voting, or for dropping off their mail-in ballot. The list was provided by the Cook County Clerk's Office.

According to the Cook County Clerk's website, there are three ways to vote in the upcoming November election.

Early Voting: Traditional early voting takes place between Oct. 19 to Nov. 2.

Voting by mail: Mail-in applications have been accepted since mid-June. Any registered Cook County voter with a driver's license, state ID or social security number on file can request a mail-in ballot online. These ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3 to be counted.

Election Day voting: Registered voters can only vote in their precincts on Election Day. Those not registered to vote can still register day of and cast a ballot. Same day registration requires two qualifying forms of I.D. Assigned voter locations can be found here.

The Cook County Clerk, Karen A. Yarbrough, shared a video sharing why she says it is important to vote.

Early voting locations in Chicago Heights provided by the clerk's office can be seen below.

• Prairie State College, 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights. Dates and times include:

- Oct. 19- Oct. 23, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

- Oct. 24, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

-Oct. 25, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

-Oct. 26-Oct. 30, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

- Oct. 27, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

-Oct. 31, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Nov. 2, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

- Nov. 1, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• South Chicago Heights Senior Center, 3140 Enterprise Park Ave. Dates and times include:

- Oct. 19 - Oct. 23, 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

- Oct. 26 - Oct. 30, 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

- Oct. 24, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

- Oct. 25, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

- Oct. 31, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

- Nov. 1, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
