Facebook Fans Talk Food, Sex and Jobs: Feedback Friday
Food seems to really stir the pot for some Chicago Heights Patch readers.

It's great to see our support grow each week. We've gained quite a few new likes in our journey toward 400 Facebook fans, moving to 376 this week! We'd like to thank our new fans for getting behind Chicago Heights Patch.
This week we had plenty of Facebook comments that related to food. Take a look at what I mean.
Lunch Time!
Earlier this week, I wasn't sure what I wanted for lunch, so I did the most logical thing: I asked Facebook! I got a surprising amount of responses from folks in the Heights, but Arthur Wiggins and Joe Sanfratello were the busiest, offering up 10 comments between them.

Check out a few of the great suggestions.
Raymond Sutorius: Try the lunch buffet at Carlo's on 14th. Street or a delicious beef sandwich and fries from on Chicago Road. Farther north, for great sandwiches or salads, try at Dixie Highway and Chicago Road, next door to the , where there is always something delicious on the menu.

Art Wiggins: on Western Ave. .... not cheap but very good!
Joe Sanfratello: express lunch.
Who knew the Heights had so many lunch options? Thanks, everyone!
Job Swap
After reporting on a , I asked our Facebook fans what job they would like to do for a day (without ripping anyone off).
We got a pretty cool response from Pat Frederickson:
I'd like to spend a full day at to witness the good and the bad in people to get a better understanding of just how rewarding and difficult it is to work for a nonprofit animal shelter with an open door policy.
Thanks, Pat! On a side note, I volunteered at the SSHS once. Cat allergies made things a little difficult.
The Evolution of Sex Education
This week's Mom Talk topic . We're still getting several comments on that article, but we had one interesting response on Facebook from one of our fans:
Scott Matthias: I think anything that is taught in a good tasteful manner would be good for any child learning about sex. But when the teachers go overboard by showing examples through porn movies I think that's just plain dumb.
Thanks for joining the conversation, Scott!
Showdown Suggestions
I would also like to thank Jennifer Gulotta Fisher and Kori Bijak Schmidt for giving two great Chowdown Showdown suggestions: and , both in Chicago Heights.
We'll see who wins Monday morning!
In the meantime, keep supporting us and telling your friends about Chicago Heights Patch. We would love to reach that coveted 400 Facebook likes by next Friday!
