Feces-Covered Pit Bulls Left On Concrete Floor With No Food Or Water: Cops

A pit bull owner was locked up in the county jail for allegedly neglecting his dogs.

Arlyn Johnson, 38, was arrested Friday and booked into the Will County jail.

In January, Will County Animal Control officers contacted the sheriff’s police about two pit bulls left in an unoccupied residence on Hickory Court in Crete.

Detectives sent to the house reportedly found the dogs in an unlocked porch.

“The dogs were observed on a concrete-type floor covered in feces with no bedding, no food, no water and no heat,” police said. “Animal control officers then removed the dogs from the property.”

The animal control officers also informed detectives that they had been at the house in December “for a complaint involving the same two dogs,” police said.

“The dogs were removed from the property after attempts to locate (Johnson) failed,” police said. “Two days later Johnson paid the fees to reclaim the dogs and was warned about the proper care of the animals.”

Johnson, a Hazel Crest resident, was charged with two misdemeanors. His bond was set at $7,500.
